Cam’ron Releases Music Video For ‘Medellin’
In December, Cam’ron dropped Purple Haze 2, his first album in 10 years which featured appearances from Wale, Max B, Jim Jones and that’s only the tip of the iceberg.
He hasn’t promoted the album enough, yet he returns today with a music video in advancement of it. In the music video for ‘Medellin’, the Dipset rapper goes to the Colombian city and visits the place of Roberto Escobar, the sibling of Pablo Escobar.
The video opens with Cam spending time with Roberto Escober, founder of the Medellín cartel and sibling of the infamous narcotic ruler, Pablo Escobar. In an interview with Complex, Cam clarified how the music video came to be. A friend, close to Roberto linked them.
“I had a companion who was cool with Roberto Escobar. Roberto has been attempting to get with rappers for some time, and it simply occurred,” Cam told the publication. “I stated, ‘Well, how about we set up it.’ It truly wasn’t excessively hard. It sort of fell in my lap. Perhaps two months after the fact, he got all the points of interest together, and we went out there and shot the video.”
The New York rap veteran was out and out flabbergasted by the entire experience.
