Wiley Banned By Facebook, Twitter & Instagram Following Anti-Semitic Rant
Wiley Banned Anti-Semitic: Wiley has now come face to face with a permanent social-media ban following his anti-semitic rants.
For the past few months, a huge number of celebrities have been vocal about their anti-semitic statements on social media. Ice Cube set the ball rolling and Nick Cannon recently lost his Viacom deal over an interview he granted.
Wiley on the other hand had taken to Twitter to liken the Jewish Community to the KKK.
BBC first broke the news of the rapper’s ban, confirming that Facebook deleted the rapper’s page after his anti-jewish rant. A representative for facebook cited “repeated violations of terms and services”. His Instagram page has also been deleted.
Wiley took to Sky News to apologize as well as explain himself.
“My comments should not have been directed to all Jews or Jewish people,” he stated. “I want to apologise for generalising, and I want to apologise for comments that were looked at as anti-Semitic.”
He explained that his grievance stemmed from an issue with his Jewish Manager.
“I just want to apologise for generalising and going outside of the people who I was talking to within the workspace and workplace I work in. I’m not racist, you know. I’m a businessman. My thing should have stayed between me and my manager, I get that.”
In Spite of that, the ban remains in place. Twitter has also come forward to drum support for the Jewish community.
“We deeply respect the concerns shared by the Jewish community and online safety advocates.
