Unreleased Track From J. Cole’s ‘4 Your Eyez Only’ Documentary Leaks
Each artist appears to have that one song that leaked, leaving fans to theorize if and when an official release may ever drop. For J. Cole, that track happened to originate from his 2017 documentary 4 Your Eyez Only, taking upon the unofficial title of “Want You To Fly.”
And while the documentary only included a little under two minutes of the song, it has since gone on to garner more than 2,000,000 views on YouTube alone. From that point forward, many have been wondering whether Cole could ever release the track in full, with some wondering if The Fall Off would, at last, be its last home.
Yesterday, HipHopDX confirmed that the track has leaked once more, this time in its entire full six-minutes. Rather than holding the past title, this most recent leak has been recorded as “JAVARI.”
And while Cole fans will welcome the additional verses, one needs to wonder whether this leak will adversely affect the song’s official release. It wouldn’t be the first time a track has been rejected altogether following untimely circulation, and it wouldn’t be the last.
In any case, for the individuals who have been persistently holding on to hear this track in full, “JAVARI” should come as an unforeseen pleasure. Particularly considering that Cole has only released three tracks this year in “Snow On Tha Bluff,” “The Climb Back,” and “Lion King On Ice.” Though actually a more seasoned cut, it’s despite everything energizing to hear some new bars from the Dreamville lyricist – and who knows, maybe “JAVARI” will locate a home on The Fall Off when it drops off in the not so distant future, as it’s scheduled to do.
