The Game Loses Record Label & Album Royalties In Sexual Assault Case
The Game Priscilla Rainey Sexual Assault: The Game has lost his newly established record label, Prolific Records and his last album, ‘Born To Rap‘, to Priscilla Rainey in a concluded court settlement.
A little back story. If you remember, last year, we did a report on the sexual assault case. Priscilla Rainey had claimed that back in 2015, while on the set of The Game’s reality Tv Show, ‘She Got Game’, the rapper assaulted her.
She sued for $10 million and The Game failed to appear in court. Despite multiple appeals, he was ordered to pay $7.13 million in damages.
The judge in the case transferred ownership of both his new record label and royalties to his last album. Rainey now becomes owner of both, and the court has granted her “any and all rights, title, and interest” in any money, property or future payments due to the label”.
Being that she owns royalties, she is now entitled to any sum of money the rapper may have been paying himself via Prolific Records.
Going forward, if the rapper is to deny her anything owed her, he will be charged with contempt of court.
Last year, The Game addressed the issue while on stage. We have a quote credited to HHNM below.
“Everybody got something to say, this that. I don’t give a f*ck about none of that. I’ve been in the game my whole career, I ain’t deterred, I’m me!” he said. “Today I read on the internet, n*gga they say I lost 7 million, sh*t! what I’mma do now, is Popeyes hiring?”
