Royal Family Responds To Prince Harry & Meghan’s Announcement
Royal Family Prince Harry Meghan: Yesterday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior members of the royal family, deciding instead to grow their family in the background while shuttling between the UK and North America.
They plan to work towards being financially independent, while still supporting the queen and the announcement was faced with mix reactions from their fans. While some were in support of the couple’s future plans, given their history with negative press, others thought it was the wrong thing to do.
The Royal family has now responded, and according to BBC reports, they claim that no senior Royal officers were consulted. Claims are that Buckingham palace was blindsided. It is said that talks were underway but only at the beginning stages.
What they want us to believe at this point, is that Harry and Meghan jumped the gun with this announcement.
Going forward, however, the couple is planning to announce their own charity soon. Remember that they had broken away from the charity with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge last year.
It raises many questions, especially as to how they plan to fund their lifestyle. It is not clear if they are cutting ties only physically but will still receive public fund while living in far away canada.
Commentators have it that this reeks of entitlement. Last year, their frogmore mansion was renovated with public fund. Even their highly publicized wedding was paid from public pocket.
People are saying this is unfair.
