Nicki Minaj Announces New Single, ‘Yikes’, Following Meek Mill Beef
Nicki Minaj Yikes Meek Mill Beef: Nicki Minaj has announced a new single, ‘Yikes‘ to be released in the next few days. It’s been a stressful morning for the queen of rap, as she and ex, Meek Mill went back and forth on what is regarded as one of the most celebrated beef of 2020.
They both went neck to neck, using each other’s past situations to score shots at each other. It started with Meek liking an Instagram post which seemed to clown Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty. The meme showed him as a mannequin in a clothing store.
The ‘Starships’ singer clapped back by clowning some of Meek’s fashion ways. She also accused him of beating women and brought up a situation where he beat his sister up and taped it.
“you a clown, U do IT for likes. #TwitterFingers beat women, scared of men.”
Meek hit back, by bringing up her brother’s rape situation, where she paid for a lawyer and testified for him. He was recently sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexually assaulting an 11-year old girl.
Later in the day, while on a live Q&A at the Pollstar Live event, she addressed her upcoming 5th album and other things she has been up to. Nicki also revealed the ‘Yikes’ single to be a promotional single to be released in a few days. It is to be a set-up single and that the real one will come with a music video.
About her new album, she said that fans will be able to see her in a happy place. She, however, did not announce a release date.
When asked about her retirement, Onika said it was an impulsive action, calling it something she shouldn’t have tweeted. The rap mother stated that she realized her error and subsequently deleted all social media off her phone.
