Michael Ojo, Former FSU Baller Dies After Collapsing During Training
Michael Ojo FSU Dead: The sports world has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of 27-year-old Michael Ojo.
Ojo was a seven-foot, 1-inch tall Nigerian-born basketball player. Formerly, he played for the Florida State University. However, in 2017, he moved to Europe to continue his career, choosing to join FMP Belgrade. In 2018, he signed a deal with Red Star Belgrade.
According to reports getting to our desk, Michael Ojo was training in Serbia when he suddenly collapsed. Although he was rushed to a nearby hospital, there was nothing the doctors could do to help him.
While media sources are reporting the cause of death as a heart attack, an autopsy has yet to determine the cause of death. He was previously diagnosed with COVID-19, but he recovered.
Ojo obtained his degree in International affairs from FSU and while discussing with FSView on why he chose the course, he had a few words.
“My degree is something I owe my family,” He said. “I promised my people, because they know American culture can change anybody to anything, so I promised them just that I would be the same person I am and get my degree.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
