Joe Budden Exits Spotify, Says He’s Undermined & Undervalued
Exits Joe Budden Spotify: Spotify has issued an official statement following Joe Budden‘s exit from the streaming service.
Joe Budden is the host of one of the best music-centric podcasts in the world. He has impeccably brought change to the world of podcasting. Also, two years ago, he broke into a solid market by signing exclusively to Spotify. Tragically, their partnership simply didn’t wind up working out on the grounds that, after Joe requested a boost in salary, the streaming service didn’t wind up offering enough to get him to remain.
The latest episode of the podcast expressed Joe’s disappointments with Spotify over his contract negotiations, asserting that he has been “undermined and undervalued.”
He included a statement to Variety that, after September 23, he doesn’t know where his digital show will be hosted.
As the working relationship between Joe Budden and Spotify is reaching a conclusion, the streaming giant has given a statement on Joe’s exit.
“It was our desire to keep Joe Budden on Spotify. As Joe referenced on his show, we made him a considerable offer. One that was significantly larger and many times the value of the existing agreement and reflective of the current market and size of his audience. Unfortunately, we could not come to terms and we respect his wishes to find a new home for his show.” A Spotify spokesperson said.
