Houston Beyonce Megan Thee Stallion: Beyonce and Megan Thee Stallion will be getting their own day in Houston. This is following their ‘Savage’ remix which went viral a few days ago. On the strength of this, the Houston Mayor has announced that the ladies will be honored with their own day.
On Wednesday, Aril 29th, he took to Twitter to make the announcement.
“#Htown’s @Beyonce & @theestallion dropped a new remix that is just #Savage.” “Because of both artists contributions to uplifting our communities, holding down #HTown, & for helping us remain #HoustonStrong our city will present both artists with their own respective days. st (1/2).”
He also acknowledged their selfless contribution of the song’s proceeds to Bread Of Life, which is a Houston based charity which feeds about 500 families a week, since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
“It’s great to see proceeds from the single’s purchase will support Bread of Life,” he wrote. “Let’s purchase & support this organization’s efforts. I look forward to connecting with both artists teams to find the appropriate time to make these requests a reality. st #HoustonStrong (2/2).”
An excited Stallion took to twitter to share her joy.
“Houston Hotties we getting a day!” she tweeted.
Here’s the impact of the Savage (Remix) so far. The original version has jumped up to No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is expected to climb higher since Beyonce sneezed on the beat.
The queen shouted out to OnlyFans on a verse in the song and since then, there’s been a 15% spike in traffic. Talk about Impact.
