Emilia, who rose to fame playing Daenerys Targaryen on ‘GoT’, opened up on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast about her experiences with nudity. She explained that going nude early on Season 1 of ‘Thrones’ made others assume she was comfortable acting naked.
She also stated that she was told she needed to perform nude so as not to disappoint her ‘GoT’ fans. The actor reveals, that she fought to keep her body covered by issuing a “f*** you” to folks on set.
However, much later on in the game, Khaleesi who felt uncomfortable saying no to the producers, as a rookie, eventually learnt that she could set boundaries on how much she wanted to reveal. This revelation came after working with Jason Momoa, her onscreen love interest.
“I’m a lot more savvy [now] with what I’m comfortable with, and what I am okay with doing,” she explained. “I’ve had fights on set before where I’m like, ‘No, the sheet stays up’, and they’re like, ‘You don’t wanna disappoint your Game of Thrones fans’. And I’m like, ‘F*** you.’”
