Fat Joe Announces ‘Family Ties’ Album LineUp And Release Date
Fat Joe Family Ties: Family Ties is a collaborative album between Fat Joe and Dre of the music production duo Cool & Dre. It is Joe’s twelfth album and his second collaborative one after 2017’s Plata O Plomo with Remy Ma.
Last month in an interview with 99 Jamz Miami, Fat Joe revealed the December 6th release date for his Family Ties album with Dre of Cool And Dre and he also mentioned that it could be his last album. In the same interview, he said there was a “big” collaboration on the album that he wanted to be a surprise for now.
Today, Fat Joe has taken to Instagram to reveal the complete guest list for the forthcoming album. There are some great names like Lil Wayne, Ty Dolla Sign, Jeremih and Cardi B, but the one that really stands out is the one that he alluded to in that interview. On the album is none other than Eminem.
While we’ve already heard Joe’s collabo with Cardi B and Anuel AA, many will likely turn to the Eminem feature as one to watch. Especially given their history together, and the oft-cited story of Em’s early attempts to win Fat Joe over with some old-school demos.
“Family Ties the most anticipated release of my career drops December 6th!!!” writes Joe, in the accompanying caption. “It was only right that I share my family with you and yours. Happy Thanksgiving Everybody! and thanks for all the love and support over the years.”
