6ix9ine Breaks YouTube Record With ‘Gooba’ Video
6ix9ine YouTube Gooba Video: Tekashi 6ix9ine has broken another record with his song, ‘Gooba’. The rapper who just returned from prison made a grand re-entry into the music space on Friday, with the release of a new single, ‘Gooba’, and its accompanying video.
Chart Data @chartdata on Twitter has now reported that the video for GOOBA has garnered the most views for a hip hop music video in one day. It’s a first, since the inception of YouTube. It is now rightly tagged the biggest 24-hour hip-hop debut of all time.
HipHopNMore has estimated the number of views to be around 43 million for the first day alone. Also, at the time of writing this report, the numbers stand at 61 million views.
This record was previously held by Eminem in 2018, following the release of ‘Killshot’ which was a diss targeted at Machine Gun Kelly. The audio of the song which can be found on YouTube garnered about 38.1 million views in the first 24 hours.
Since his release from prison, 6ix9ine has been breaking all records there is. Same Friday, he broke Tory Lanez record for the most IG Live views, standing at 2 million viewers. Tory Lanez set the previous record @ 300k, with his Quarantine radio.
Yesterday, a neighbor disclosed the location of 6ix9ine on Instagram. While he’s not in witness protection, he had to be relocated for his safety.
