Usher, Ludacris & Lil Jon Collaborate For ‘Sexbeat’
Usher Ludacris Lil Jon Sexbeat: For the first time since the release of their chart-topping collaboration, ‘Yeah‘, 16 years ago, Usher, Ludacris, and Lil Jon have collaborated for a new number, titled ‘SexBeat’. The bedroom boomer is produced by Jermaine Dupri and is reminiscent of the 2004 hit, ‘Yeah’, as well as ‘Lovers And Friends‘. Some even say that the new record is the continuation of the former.
Promotions for the single came by way of accident. It all started after Lil Jon debuted it during his live battle with T-pain during the week. The battle garnered about 250k viewers tuned in.
Jon, upon seeing how the fans responded to it, revealed that it was done some two years ago, but Usher was holding on to it. Appeals went out tot he singing legend to drop the record.
Usher has been in the news lately, following the call out by The Weeknd who claimed that his sound was copied for Usher’s 2012 hit, ‘Climax’. Usher responded with a cryptic tweet yesterday and a #ClimaxChallenge.
The Weeknd went further to say, “Usher is a King and always an inspiration so it was flattering to hear what him and Diplo did on climax,”.
Sexbeat is hot on the heels of Usher’s collaboration with Ella Mai on ‘Don’t Waste My Time’. A video for the song was released last month. Reports also have it that Usher is working on a new album.
The last time we had an album from Usher was in 2016 when he released ‘Hard II Love’. Speculations are rife, that ‘Confessions Part III’ would make it to the album.
