Mario Delivers Politically Charged New Single, ‘Rewrite It’
Mario Rewrite It: Mario has delivered a song today, in line with the current political situation around the world. It is titled ‘Rewrite it’ and speaks to the unrests especially in America.
Various artists have lent their voices to the rent tribulations. Beyonce even released a song on Juneteenth to the same effect. J. Cole got dragged for his song which came out last week and perceived as ‘tone-deaf’.
What we can say for sure is that the present crises has done something to the creative juices of artists all over the world. What do we love to see? It!
It’s quite shocking that it took this to draw Mario out from his shell. You see, its been a minute since we had any new music from him. We’ll totally take what we can get.
The singer was recently asked why he decided to pen ‘Rewrite It’. In his reply, he stated that he decided to use his platform for something that would benefit the culture.
“Having a voice and talent means nothing if you aren’t using your platform when it matters the most. Sovereignty has to be declared and this is my declaration,” Mario said.
“In the song I talk about being reserved and generations understanding who they are and the magnitude of their power. As an artist, I’m extremely passionate about standing up for what I believe in and using my gifts to reach the masses.”
