H.E.R Addresses Black Injustice On New Song, ‘I Can’t Breathe’
H.E.R I Can’t Breathe: H.E.R. hasn’t sat idly by as the rush of pro-Black Lives Matter sentiment has overwhelmed the public consciousness. The singer/songwriter has published another melody named “I Can’t Breathe.” A timely tribute to the ongoing protests and gesture to the Black individuals who lost their lives to injustice.
Smooth R&B production stays the almost five-minute tune, with H.E.R’s guitar strums accompanied by string accents, loping bass and loosened up percussion.
This contrasts with the moving imagery of genuine protesters hugging one another, marching through cities. Also, standing off against neighborhood police powers. I
magery from around the globe, including Belgium, Syria and Berlin, complements the footage from the streets. At around the midpoint, section theme refrain structure is relinquished for about two minutes of conscious rap from H.E.R., delivered as an ever increasing number of Black names are added to an immense memorial of individuals killed by cruelty.
