Eric Bellinger Has Had ‘Enough’, On New Single
The 34-year-old singer has dealt with a lifetime of systemic racism and, as the protests continue the nation over, he’s speaking for everyone when he says he’s had enough of being treated unfairly as a result of his skin.
“First they drain you mentally, threaten your identity, then they treat you like the adversary, god damn,” murmurs Bellinger. The music artwork shows scenes of police brutality, including a sign that says “I can’t breathe” for George Floyd, Eric Garner, and others.
Sometimes, speaking about the issue isn’t sufficient and you’ve got to come through with some music to shape the public’s opinion. Eric Bellinger is letting it be realized that he will no longer stand silent notwithstanding racism and we’re right there with him.
“I’m not sure what it’s gonna take and when it’s gonna stop but I had to take a moment to speak out and express myself the only way I know how.” He wrote on social media. “By writing a song.”
