Netflix Hollywood Trailer: Netflix has released the trailer for its original miniseries, ‘Hollywood‘. The series stars Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan and is set after World War II. The focus is on a group of actors and producers who are trying to make it in Hollywood, post-World War II.
In the seven episodes of the series, we see the discriminatory structure of the industry which is still present today. Each character gives us a glimpse into Hollywood’s Golden Age, highlighting biases like race, gender, and sexuality.
According to HYPEBEAST, the series will star some faces we know already. Some of the cast includes Queen Latifah, Darren Criss, Dylan McDermott, Patti LuPone. Also, Laura Harrier, David Corenswet, Jeremy Pope, Samara Weaving, Jim Parsons, and Holland Taylor.

According to Indiewire, the series writer and director, Janet Mock had a few words to say. She stated that with the series, they turned to the past for direction.
By uncovering buried history, they spun a question of what-ifs.
“What if the person with greenlight power was a woman? The screenwriter a black man? What if the heroine was a woman of color? The matinee idol openly gay? And what if they were all invited into the room where the decisions are made, entering fully and unapologetically themselves to leave victorious and vaunted, their place in history cemented.”
In other news, a Hunger Games Prequel.
