Lupe Fiasco And Kaelin Ellis Team Up For ‘House’ EP
Lupe Fiasco Kaelin Ellis House: Lupe Fiasco has returned to the game with a new EP, titled ‘House’. For this project, he partnered with Kaelin Ellis. We’re excited about this project because no one does it as Lupe does.
Social media is a very powerful tool and that was how this project was birthed. Back in May, a Florida-based producer, Kaelin Ellis uploaded a video of him making beats during the quarantine.
It garnered over 2000 likes and some twitter users tagged Lupe Fiasco. The singer quickly recorded the video and sent it to Garage band who did some freestyle work on it. The finished work was later uploaded and was seen by 1.2 million people.
“Stop leaving yall beats just laying around — it ain’t safe out here.”
Soon after, a collaborative 5-track EP was announced by the Chicago rapper, in collaboration with the Florida producer.
The ‘House’ EP has an artwork designed by Dave Brubeck and Charles Mingus. It also features painting by Peter Gellatly, father of Lupe’s friend Sky.
We’re certain that if anyone had told Kaelin Ellis that he would be working with such a high-flying artist this year, he would have said Sike!
Congratulations!
